Run for Vice Chair 2!

Deadline to submit is April 20; PCPs will vote on May 4
Multnomah County Democrats are now accepting nominations for the position of Second Vice Chair. This is a crucial leadership role within our organization, and we encourage all qualified members who are registered Democrats in Multnomah County to consider stepping forward now.
To be eligible to serve, candidates must be a registered Democrat residing in Multnomah County. Once elected, the term of office for VC2 runs from April 2025 through our next reorganization meeting in early 2027.
Second Vice Chair Position Description
The Second Vice Chair (VC2) plays a vital role in maintaining the democratic processes of our organization, as defined in our official bylaws. VC2 reviews applications from community members wanting to become Precinct Committee Persons (PCPs), verifies their eligibility, and presents qualified applicants to the Central Committee at our monthly meetings.
VC2 also leads the credentials team for voters at those CC meetings and prepares credentials reports.
The MultDems admin team and past leaders stand available to help the incoming Vice Chair 2 with training, access and other support.

Nomination Process
To declare your candidacy, please complete the VC2 Self Nomination Form. The submission deadline is Sunday, April 20 at 11:59 pm. The information and photos candidates provide will be used to create candidate profiles. All profiles will be published to our website and emailed to PCPs on Monday, April 21.
Election Details
PCPs will elect the new VC2 during the special Central Committee meeting on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at 1pm Pacific Time on Zoom. Please mark your calendar and register for the meeting in advance.
MultDems Admin encourages every PCP across Multnomah County to attend this important special meeting and vote. (Per our bylaws Art V Sec 7: “Both elected and appointed PCPs are eligible to vote to fill an officer vacancy. (ORS 245.035(3))”.)
