RESOURCES FOR PCPs
So you're a PCP! What next?

We look forward to seeing you at monthly Central Committee meetings (as of Feb 2025 these are online Zoom meetings), or at volunteer events and committee meetings. Enjoy!

Get the lay of the land with a set of slides that will help you understand how our county works and where you might "find your people."

Sign up for our new PCP "buddy system." If you are an experienced PCP willing to share your knowledge or a newly-minted recruit who is looking for perspective and on ramps, signup to be a part of our new buddy system. Vice Chair Andre Miller looks forward to your application
PCP Bulletin Board pilot project
Did you know that the MultDems Comms team is piloting a "PCP bulletin board" concept? Ask your district leader or Vice Chair 1 Andre Miller for the password to participate in the pilot as we refine submission rules, display styles, and use of the events, action items and tips. Pilot participation is for PCPs only at this time.

What's needed?
Leadership. We need officers and committee chairs. There are elections every two years (along with some interim elections). We need individuals skilled at facilitating meetings, overseeing budgets, and grassroots organizing.
Administrative support. Volunteer your talents and skills to help with the nuts and bolts of our county party.
Neighborhood leaders. Represent your precinct’s Democrats, recruit volunteers, turn out the vote.
Grassroots organizers. Organize a group of friends to canvas or staff a booth at a community event. Your participation makes a difference! Our community engagement team can get you going.
Committee Members. Join one of our standing committees or workgroups. You can connect with other committee members and learn to make a difference on issues you care about. – Legislative, Campaign, Fundraising, Rules, Neighborhood Leader, Youth outreach, and more.
Take the next step by connecting with a committee chair. Don't be shy about asking for advice about how to channel your energies. Ask someone if they'll be your mentor! Some people find accountability buddies. Ask your district leader, or reach out to Vice Chair 1 (who trains PCPs). The MultDems Contact Page has a list of folks who will be thrilled to hear from you.
Democrats in Oregon depend on Multnomah County for victory margins in statewide elections. When we knock on Multnomah County doors, we help secure a Democratic legislature and leadership. Our local governments are in our hands. If we don't stand up, MAGA will.
Our County Committee meets the 2nd Thursday of every month for general meetings. RSVP on the link on the website and log on to start to tune in. Make it your mission to find your people within the party and be proud of the work you do to move our democracy forward.
