Over the past weeks, ICE has increased enforcement activity in Multnomah County. Officers have shown up at day labor corners, conducted arrests tied to routine immigration check-ins, and grabbed people without warning in public spaces. Parents are being separated from children. Workers are disappearing from jobs. Families are scrambling to make emergency plans.

This is happening in neighborhoods across the county, and at Multnomah County Democrats, we’re not meeting this moment with silence. There is a real, organized response already underway, built by people who have been preparing for this for years. These are the places where work is happening — and where more people are needed.
