Kevin Weitemier

Hello Multnomah County Democrats! My name is Kevin Weitemier, and I’m asking for your vote for delegate to the State Central Committee and Congressional District 1.
I’m a proud Democrat, and I’m ready to work with our party to craft a progressive vision, work with elected officials to enact just policies and work with voters to continue our wins at the ballot box.
I am currently an SCC alternate, where I serve on the Credentials Committee.
I previously chaired the Bylaws committee of CD3. We enacted new bylaws with a strong equity lens, including an equity statement, committee diversity requirements and a mandate to examine the equity impact of new policies.
I am a proud labor supporter, formerly a Vice President with the American Federation of Teachers-Oregon. I know that when workers come together, they can not only secure the benefits needed to raise their families, they support their communities by raising the bar for quality employment, advocating for policies that help all working families. I’m ready to fight for Oregon’s workers.
I’m ready to help grow Democratic power in Oregon: to keep us winning at the ballot box and to push back against the new administration. I’m asking you to join me.
