Debbie Kitchin

Thank you for considering me as a State Central Committee Delegate. I am excited to work with the Democratic Party in Oregon to better serve our state and create more equitable thriving communities.

I ran for Portland City Council in District 2. My campaign knocked on thousands of doors and I participated in many forums and gatherings. I had the opportunity to hear directly from voters, many of whom share the values and aspirations of Democrats. I served on the Charter Commission to increase representation and bring more voices to the table.

I have many years of experience in policy advocacy and development, both as a regional economist in the clean energy field and a small business owner in the housing industry. It is important for Oregon to lead in protecting the rights of our residents and in protecting our environment. We can be an example of the success of progressive policies that create shared prosperity for all.
