Susan Hagmeier, a long time friend and Communications Officer of the Multnomah Democratic Party, has won the struggle from cancer and moved on to a place of peace. We wish her family and friends comfort in knowing that she has the respect of many. She will be remembered for her dedicated service to making peoples’ lives better.

Sue was proud of her years with Outward Bound often reminiscing about the times where she helped to train others, and she coordinated such activities as zip lining in Montgomery Park. She served on the PPS Board where she told me she had to make some of her toughest decisions.

Sue served with her long time business associate and friend, Senator Lew Frederick. She was an awesome wordsmith and enjoyed making words work.

Sue could always be counted on for a smile and a story. She was often seen carrying a sign in a parade or attending an event or a meeting in support of a cause she felt passionate about.

Sue’s family states that she requested donations to NW Outward Bound in lieu of flowers. A memorial service will be planned for the summer
