Multnomah Democrats Endorse Measure 101
In a vote taken on Thursday, December 14, the Multnomah County Democratic Party Central Committee endorsed Measure 101, which will be on the special election ballot on January 23, 2018. More than two-thirds of the Central Committee members in attendance voted to officially endorse.
Measure 101 ensures all Oregon children will have access to health care and protects health care access for seniors, people with disabilities and working families. Measure 101 will establish provider assessments on insurance companies, some hospitals and managed health care organizations, a practice common to all other 49 states.
The deadline to register to vote in the special election is Jan. 2; ballots for the special election will be mailed Jan. 3. Voters interested in participating in get out the vote efforts can sign up with the Multnomah Democrats or with YesForHealthcare.org.
