More about the performers:
Carl Wolfson
From February 2007 to February 2016, Carl Wolfson was the host of “Carl in the Morning” on AM 620 KPOJ and FM 107.1 KXRY, Portland, Oregon’s progressive talk stations.
Radio was the capstone to Carl’s four decades as a political activist, advocating for social and economic justice, universal healthcare, quality public schools, strong environmental protections, and an enlightened foreign policy.
Prior to his radio career, Carl was one of the country’s top headlining comedians, specializing in current-events humor. During the 1980s and 1990s, he was a fixture on national television, appearing on Showtime’s Comedy Club Network, VH-1 Stand-Up Spotlight, An Evening at the Improv, and The Joan Rivers Show. His weekly segments on Thicke of the Night (“The Wolfson Report”) and Fox Network’s Late Show (“Carl’s Camera”) were the most popular features of each show.
He is an avid collector of historical memorabilia; his collection of more than 21,000 political buttons – from 1896 to present – is one of the most impressive in the world.
Susan Rice
Susan Rice loves to make people laugh. She began her professional comedy career in 1983 and is still making people laugh.
Her career has taken her all over the country playing the top comedy clubs of the 1980s & ’90s. Appearing on all the network and cable TV comedy channels solidified Rice’s credentials as a professional comedian. In 2015 Rice was voted by her peers and patrons of comedy The Willamette Week‘s “Portland’s Funniest Person.”
David Seung
David Seung is a substitute teacher and recently started a food tour company Side Dish Mafia Food Tours. David is back to the comedy scene after taking a two-year hiatus to complete graduate school, majoring in poetry. David was in the 2022 Portland Funniest Person competition.
Tickets are $25 each; ages 21 and older only.
