JOIN A COMMITTEE OR WORKGROUP

The Multnomah Democrats are a volunteer organization, and we need your help to accomplish our goals. Check out our committees and workgroups and raise your hand to get involved!

Campaign and Candidate Liaison

The Campaign and Candidate Liaison Committee recruits, trains and supports candidates for partisan and nonpartisan offices. It also organizes valuable and informative candidate forums for our members. In election years, this committee helps to prepare and distribute “slate cards” (literature to help voters know more about Democratic candidates and who to vote for).

The PRLC Committee also runs Study Groups throughout the year for each platform article to examine issues, look at past and proposed legislation, and propose legislation. The PRLC study group leaders contact list can be found here:

Racial Inclusivity Work Group
We believe it takes work to develop common knowledge, skill, and will to racially diversify the Democratic Party, and we are here to lead the way. The mission of the RIWG is to increase and sustain racial diversity in ways that welcome, include, promote, and support people of color (POC). We organize recruitment and retention efforts to increase the number of POC in Democratic membership and leadership. The RIWG operates independently of the MultDems and has an application process for its members, more information is available in the link below.
