I am running for Gresham City Council to continue the work I have already been doing for Gresham to improve and support our city. Our city deserves to have a more responsive City Council that actively seeks out and engages our residents. I have the ability and experience to help lead our city to better represent the voice of all our residents.

I have lived in Gresham for 36 years and counting. I am a working single Mom of 3, a grandmother of 5 and a former City Councilor elected & served a 4-year term 2003 through 2006. My kids were young, my mother aging and needing my help, I did not run for re-election. But after 20 years, Gresham has not improved the aging fire stations, has not been able to add more Firefighters to serve our growing population in Gresham; we do not meet the national standard for a City our size. We have many parks we are not able to maintain to the level Gresham residents deserve. I want to get back to work for my Gresham community and bring forward long term solutions for our public safety departments and help begin implementing the comprehensive Gresham Climate Action plan so our citizens can do well when we have extreme weather events in the future, we must help everyone be prepared. I bring experience, energy, common sense and my logical approach to finding solutions, and tackling issues to this Gresham City Council. Jacquenette for Gresham City Council Position 3.
