Tiffani Penson
PCC Board, Zone 2
Portland Community College
Why I'm running.
I’m running because:
● I want to ensure that Portland Community College continues to provide high quality education and training for our community.
●It is also critically important that students facing barriers of income, transportation, culture or learning challenges have the support they need to be successful.
●I also want to ensure that PCC continues to grow their partnerships with small businesses.
My top 3 priorities.
Continue to support and improve Equitable Student Success by creating policies that dismantle barriers and build inclusive systems of education and support.
Collaborate to support current wrap-around services and create new opportunities to ensure our students have access to basic needs, food, housing and support services
Supporting the President in their efforts to meet their goals for cultivating a long-term sustainable college and the continuous transformation of the learning culture.
Why voters should choose me.
I bring years of experience working on education issues in the community:
● working on the Mayor’s Education Team,
● volunteering on the Lincoln High School Site Council Design Advisory Group, and
● serving on the board of Kairos PDX.
My work also includes bringing together business and government to provide work opportunities for youth through SummerWorks and the FutureConnect program at PCC.
Those who know me know I’m also not afraid to speak up.
