Multnomah County

Why I'm running.

We are at a critical inflection point in our community. Gun violence is at an all-time high and the community’s sense of safety is at an all-time low. Feeling safe is one of our most basic needs as people. I currently serve as Undersheriff, the second in command and first woman to hold this position at the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office . I have the experience, training, and agency-wide perspective necessary to tackle the serious issues we face and make our community safer for everyone.

My top 3 priorities.

-Tackling gun violence through proven collaborative strategies for prevention and intervention.
-Providing resources and safety for those living outside struggling with addiction and mental health challenges.
-Reducing the number of traffic injuries and fatalities through enhanced enforcement in high speed, high crash areas, with a focus on dangerous driving

Why voters should choose me.

If elected, I will be the first Sheriff with leadership experience in both law enforcement and corrections giving me the perspective necessary to address the serious public safety challenges we face in our community. In fact, I am the only candidate in this race who has earned the law enforcement credentials required to serve as Sheriff. I am ready to work for our community on day one.
