House District 41
Why I'm running.
I’m running because representation matters. I grew up in a working class family in Milwaukie. My mom worked the night shift at a retirement home and my dad has been a lifelong union laborer. I’m running for state representative for all of the kids who deserve elected officials who share their lived experience rather than just talking about it. There are a lot of reasons why I’m running — but the most important reason why I’m running is because I’m a new dad who wants to leave a world for my daughter that is better than when I found it.
My top 3 priorities.
Investing in working families: affordable/accessible child care, universal pre-k, baby bonds
Increasing affordable housing & addressing houselessness crisis: increasing supply of housing, deed restrictions, emergency housing w/ wrap around services
Investing and prioritizing mental health: Incentivizing more mental health professionals, mental health professionals in schools
Why voters should choose me.
Representation matters. What separates the good representatives from the great ones is sharing the lived experience of those you are sent to represent. For me, politics is personal. I’m running because I know what it’s like to rely on food stamps to eat and because I know what it’s like to have mounting student debt. I’m running because I know what it’s like to have a baby on the way and get priced out of your hometown. This election, we have a chance to send one of our own to Salem to fight on behalf of working families.
