Multnomah County Auditor
Why I'm running.
It is a privilege to serve as your Multnomah County Auditor. I’m running for a second term because everything we’ve experienced in the past few years – from the pandemic to calls to dismantle white supremacy – have strengthened my commitment to speak truth to power. I believe government auditing is absolutely necessary to ensuring accountable, transparent, equitable government operations. Every day, my office works on audits to make sure government is accountable to you about how it uses your taxpayer dollars. During my second term, I will continue to work for you and be accountable to you.
My top 3 priorities.
My priority for my second term is to continue overseeing audits that focus on health, safety, and the accountability, transparency, and equity of county operations. I will continue to advocate for resources for the Auditor’s Office, with a goal to enhance service to the community by creating subject-matter audit teams.
Why voters should choose me.
I ask people to vote for me to show that they want a strong County Auditor’s Office. I’ve realized campaign pledges including prioritizing audits of programs affecting people’s health and safety, increasing follow-ups on audit recommendations to sustain the pressure for change, and assessing for equity, primarily racial equity, in every audit. During my second term, I will cement this progress and build on it.
