Why I'm running.
Our democracy, environment, and working families are in crisis — we need an actual Democrat who understands the challenges and addresses them.
I’m proudly working class and have spent my career rebuilding communities and protecting our environment. We need leaders committed to helping families recover from the COVID economy. I’ve got experience in affordable housing, natural resources, and leading wildfire recovery in a town that lost a third of its homes and businesses to wildfire. I don’t take corporate PAC money. My opponent does — from Big Pharma, fossil fuel, and Koch Brothers/Industries — and his votes reflect it. He’s lost touch.
My top 3 priorities.
Support working families and economic recovery — affordable housing, universal healthcare, child care, and education (pre-K through college/trade school).
Address the climate crisis — invest in clean energy, disaster preparedness and response.
Protect our democracy — voting rights, right to organize, get big money out of politics so government works for people.
Why voters should choose me.
I’m an actual Democrat, the best match in values, and best positioned to win the newly drawn district that now extends into Central Oregon. I’m endorsed by unions, elected and community leaders, cross-over supporters, and four County Democratic parties (including my opponent’s home county).
I would have voted FOR important recovery bills that my opponent voted AGAINST, including: original American Rescue Plan, comprehensive Build Back Better, Medicare negotiating prescription drug prices, and raising federal minimum wage. I don’t take corporate PAC money and my opponent does, including Big Pharma and Koch Brother/Industries. Our democracy is not for sale.
