Danny Cage
Position 6 At Large
Multnomah Education Service District
Why I'm running.
I’m running for office because as a student who has participated in MESD programming, I know the value that these services bring to our community. Students must be at the decision-making table because we know what we need to be successful. We must invest in every student’s success, regardless of their background. As your future MESD Board member I will advocate for every student to have access to quality education services that they deserve.
My top 3 priorities.
Priorities
-Ensure a quality education for all
-Increase our academic outcomes
-Maintain and expand essential services
Why voters should choose me.
I think what makes me different is I am a candidate that has a heavy and transformative public policy experience under their belt. I am the current Vice-Chair of the Portland Public Schools Climate Crisis Response Committee and served on the Policy Committee of the PPS Board of Education. I Have prior government experience as a State Board member of Oregon’s Environmental Justice Council appointed by former Governor Kate Brown. And have a track record of getting important work done for our community.
