Action Alert: HANDS OFF! Portland fights back rally – this Saturday!

Join the Multnomah County Democrats as we take a stand against those who are taking everything they can get their hands on—our health care, our data, our jobs, our schools, our services—and daring the world to stop them. This is a crisis, and the time to act is NOW! Read on to join us at the “Hands Off! Portland Fights Back Rally” this Saturday, April 5th!

The Impact:

Being visible and vocal MATTERS! When we show up in force, we demonstrate that Portland refuses to be silent.

What Elon Musk and Donald Trump are doing in Washington directly impacts all Portland residents, particularly those most vulnerable to cuts in healthcare, education, and public services. Let’s show them Portland is watching—and we won’t back down!

Your participation matters:

🔥 Power in numbers! Each person who shows up amplifies our collective voice.
✊ Stand together with neighbors and build the movement we need to win.
🌲 Join neighbors from ALL OVER PORTLAND who are meeting up to travel to the protest together.

What to Bring & Safety Tips:

Come prepared with your own signs expressing your concerns (keep them peaceful and respectful). Wear comfortable walking shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, and sun protection. Don’t forget to bring water and sustaining snacks to keep your energy up throughout the event. Invite friends and family to join you—the more people we have, the stronger our message! Show your Democratic pride by wearing your MultDems t-shirts, buttons, and other gear. Remember to follow organizer instructions, maintain a peaceful presence, and look out for your fellow participants. Be mindful of your personal comfort and health needs throughout the event and plan accordingly.

Activist Opportunity: Join a team collecting signatures for the Equal Rights for All Amendment to the Oregon Constitution at the rally. This crucial initiative protects reproductive rights, healthcare access for transgender individuals, and same-gender marriage in our state constitution. Signup for training and information to help protect the rights of all Oregonians.
✍️ Volunteer to gather signatures with the MultDems.
