WHAT TO EXPECT AT THE PLATFORM CONVENTION

Every two years the Multnomah Democrats conduct a Platform Convention, spearheaded by the Platform, Resolution and Legislation Committee (PRLC). This work, which comes to life in the form of Articles, Planks and Legislative Action Items, shapes the values, agenda and priorities of our party. For reference, our 2020 Platform is available here

You may have heard about party platforms at the national or state level. This is no different. This work matters because our legislators in Multnomah County, Salem and Washington, D.C. look to it as a guide for what matters to their constituents. The convention gives us the important opportunity to discuss and share ideas in person and in real time.

Per Standing Rule 13, any Democrat on the voter rolls in Multnomah County can register to participate. In addition, any Democratic office holder, regardless of where they reside, whose district includes a portion of Multnomah County may also register to participate
