What drives me to seek an elected position
My entire life, I’ve wanted to help people. Regardless of the capacity in which I did it, that was always the goal of mine. I became an inventor two years ago and my second invention, the Endless Cup, which creates water from the atmosphere, showed me a way to start to end issues. The billions potentially saved by reallocating funds from these existing water related emergencies to other emergencies could drastically lessen other climate change issues. As governor, being able to implement plans like above to help people is why I strive for this position. Being able to assist the constituents of Oregon is what drives me to seek this position.
The first three priorities or issues I want to tackle
My first three priorities would be housing stability, education reform and building a more efficient, responsive state government.
On housing, I would focus on preventing homelessness before it starts. This includes expanding eviction prevention, increasing supportive housing and aligning development with actual affordability needs. Also, creating a second chance program to lift existing homeless constituents out of homelessness to start to alleviate this continuous issue will lessen the negative effects this issue has on the market. These reflect values of dignity, stability and protecting vulnerable communities.
In education, I would shift our system to focus on student growth and real world readiness. I would also focus on supporting educators and ensuring equitable outcomes across districts. This aligns with a commitment to opportunity and long-term economic mobility.
I would prioritize making state government more efficient and accountable, bridging the urban-rural divide to ensure that public dollars are used effectively and reach the communities that need them most. Listening to local communities, addressing disparities directly, and building systems that work for everyone, to bridge the disconnect in communication between the constituents of Oregon.
The experiences and insights I will bring to the office
I approach problems from both lived experience and a systems perspective. I’ve seen firsthand how gaps in housing, healthcare and economic stability can impact people’s lives, and that has shaped how I think about policy, not as abstract ideas, but as systems that either work or fail in real time.
At the same time, I focus on how to improve those systems so they become more effective, more equitable and more sustainable. I’m not tied to a single ideological approach; I’m focused on outcomes. That allows me to bring together perspectives from different communities and build solutions that are grounded in reality. Understanding both the human impact and the structural challenges is essential to leading effectively.
What being a Democrat in Multnomah County means to me
Being a Democrat in Multnomah County means a commitment to creating opportunities where everyone has access to stability and dignity.
To me, that means focusing on outcomes, not just intentions. It means ensuring that policies actually improve people’s lives, whether that’s keeping families housed, supporting public education, expanding access to healthcare, or addressing inequities that have existed for far too long.
It also means recognizing that good governance requires listening to communities, to workers, to those who have historically been left out of decision-making and being willing to adapt when systems aren’t working.
All in all, being a Democrat here means believing that government should be a force for fairness, opportunity and real measurable progress in people’s everyday lives.
