Ballot measures are a way for voters to directly decide issues. They are proposed laws that require voter approval to pass.

Ballot Measure 120: Statewide Referendum

Voters across Oregon will weigh in on this referendum which, if passed, would repeal parts of House Bill 3991 that increases gas and payroll taxes and vehicle registration fees.

Measure 120:

Increases fuel taxes, registration/title fees for roads, tax on wages for public transportation services

Result of "Yes" Vote: "Yes" vote increases fuel taxes, certain vehicle registration/title fees for state, local road construction, maintenance, improvements; increases tax on wages for public transportation services.

Result of "No" Vote:"No" vote retains fuel taxes at 40 cents per gallon, rejects increases to vehicle registration and title fees, tax on wages for public transportation services.

Five year levy: Oregon Historical Society Library, Museum, educational programs.

Question: Shall County renew 5-year history museum, library, educational programs levy; maintain $.05 per $1,000 assessed value, oversight, beginning 2021? This measure renews current local option taxes.

Summary: In 2016 voters approved a five-year local option levy of $.05 per $1,000 assessed property value to support the Oregon Historical Society (OHS). Renewal of this levy will continue support to the OHS's museum, library, educational programs, and fund the following without increasing taxes:
