VC-1 Candidate Andre Miller

Andre Miller

I’m Andre Miller, I am excited to announce my candidacy for First Vice Chair of the Multnomah Democrats. With three years of governmental experience, I have dedicated myself to public service and community engagement, always striving to address the root causes of our societal issues.

My journey into politics was deeply personal and ignited by the tragic murder of George Floyd. Witnessing this pivotal moment in our nation’s history, I felt compelled to action and become part of the solution. Since then, I have been committed to advocating for social justice, equity, and systemic change.

Throughout my career, I have demonstrated a passion for addressing the root causes of societal challenges. I believe in creating long-term, sustainable solutions that uplift our entire community.

As an innovative thinker, I seek out new ideas and approaches to problem-solving. I understand that traditional methods may not always be effective in addressing contemporary issues, and I am dedicated to fostering a culture of creativity and collaboration within our party.

My experience in government has equipped me with the skills and knowledge necessary to navigate complex systems and advocate for meaningful change. I have worked closely with diverse groups of stakeholders and fellow public servants, to build consensus and drive progress.

I am eager to bring my experience and passion to the role of First Vice Chair. Together, we can strengthen our party, amplify our collective voice, and work towards a more just and equitable Multnomah County.

Thank you for your support.

VC-1 Candidate Tim Clairmont

Tim Clairmont

My name is Tim Clairmont, and I am excited to announce my candidacy for First Vice-Chair of the Multnomah County Democrats. Since moving to Portland in 2017, I’ve immersed myself in this vibrant community, living downtown next to Powell’s Books. Over the past seven years, I have witnessed firsthand the significant changes our city has undergone. I am committed to making a positive impact and ensuring that Portland remains a thriving, inclusive community for all.

As a socially liberal yet financially responsible Democrat, I believe in the importance of progressive policies that promote social justice, equality, and economic stability. My professional background as the founder and CEO of Clear Financial Partners has equipped me with the skills necessary to educate, lead, and manage effectively. In the summer of 2023, I made a deliberate choice to become more involved in local politics, and I immediately became a PCP.

I am passionate about fostering open communication, ensuring every voice is heard, and conducting efficient, fair meetings. My talent for facilitating discussions and keeping tasks on track will be invaluable in this role. I am committed to working tirelessly to ensure that we continue to make a significant impact on the future of Portland.

Together, we can advance our shared values and work towards a better, more equitable future for all residents of Multnomah County. I humbly ask for your support and vote as we strive to make our community stronger, more inclusive, and more resilient.

Thank you for your consideration.

VC-1 Candidate Jessica Rose Iplikci

Jessica Rose Iplikci

Thank you for the warm welcome and for this moment to introduce myself to each of you as candidate for First Vice Chair. If I could wave a magic wand to make one wish come true with regards to our democracy, what would be my wish? Truly, my wish is for everyone to participate in free and fair elections with equal access to vote and to be counted. The vote is fundamental to sustaining our democracy and to operating democratic institutions like MultDems that work to represent us and advance the party’s platform. MultDems have an organization structure for broad representation from the grassroots-with PCPs representing the base-making the organization even more powerful when unified-to turn the gears of democracy and even request that legislation be introduced.

If elected VC1, I will take on the role of representation seriously and fulfill my role when called to do so. I am experienced and confident in this type of role. As a senior manager I’ve led strategy development, market transformation initiatives, business planning, regulatory affairs, presented recommendations to boards at public meetings. I’m a Duck! I also earned my MBA at Willamette University and a Corporate Sustainability and Innovation Certificate from Harvard University.

I believe Oregon has a bright future ahead and we can make bigger strides. I truly value MultDems’ strength, compassion and commitment to advance on key issues. I’m behind our party’s platform. Please vote for me.

I would be honored to be your First Vice Chair.
