Gretchen Hollands was elected the MultDems Treasurer at our December Central Committee meeting. Read her candidate bio below to learn more about her.

Thank you for taking the time to read a little about me and why I believe I can serve the Multnomah Democratic Party in the role of Treasurer. am a 57 year-old white woman, using she/her pronouns and married for 33 years to a Portland Public School teacher at Grant High School (Walt Hollands). I have a Masters in Public Administration from Portland State University.

I’ve been an unaffiliated voter for about two decades and not active in politics, apart from running for the PPS School Board in 2015. I was delighted to have spent less than $400 on my campaign and garnered nearly 11% of the vote which was, sadly, not enough to propel me to victory.

I’m interested in helping the Democratic Party build on its success. I’ve run a family rental property business for 20 years and think my administrative and project management skills will be put to good use in this volunteer position. Here are excerpts from my resume. I’m happy to provide additional information.
